Installing preformed thermoplastic is not difficult. All that is needed is a broom to clean the surface and a propane torch to melt the product. The torch should be the wand type and should have a tip that is at least 2″ in diameter. The larger diameter head spreads out the heat and makes the job go quicker. These types of torches are commonly used for installing melt on roofing or for weed burning. We use the one in the picture to the left. It has an adjustable flame and a turbo blast trigger. An automatic ignitor is nice but bring a lighter just in case.
